Developed in conjunction with
Huntington Beach-based Ital
Meccanica, this fuel cell is an
exact replica of the 110 liter tank
used in competition 911s during
the 1960s and 1970s. Whereas
other fuel cells have typically been
designed to maximize fuel
capacity or simplify design, this
fuel cell is made as a "drop-in"
unit, requiring only minimal
modifications to the fuel system.
The composite materials keep the
weight to a minimum, and the
internal baffling and collector, or
"catch tank", ensure consistent
fuel flow with minimal fuel. Like
all our fuel cells, this units true
advantage is its simplistic design.
Rather than relying on expensive
pumps, we rely on simple physics

with the rounded corners, prevents fuel from migrating and staying in any one particular section of the unit. In addition, the rear-located
collector pools the fuel towards the rear, where the pickups are located. As the vehicle goes forward fuel is forced into the collector but
can't flow out. This makes sure fuel delivery is consistent regardless of terrain or fuel level. Additionally, this cell is F.I.A. FT3-1999
certified and can be used in all domestic and international racing associations.
