With so many aftermarket and OEM pumps on the market it's easy to get lost in the chaos that is fuel delivery design. Because of this we make it our mission to search out the best, most versatile pumps to put in our fuel cells. Additionally, many of these pumps can be installed either inside or outside the fuel cell, come with the manufacturer's warranty, and are reasonably available domestically or internationally for easy replacement.
The Importance of Proper Fuel Delivery
No matter how powerful an engine is it will always be a slave to however powerful your fuel pump is. If you can't get the fuel to the engine, you can't produce power; and without power your vehicle becomes a 2,500 lb paperweight. Often found at the bottom of builder's priority lists, fuel delivery is, in fact, just as important as any other aspect of vehicle design. Most builders know the importance of having a pump that can handle the volume of fuel demanded by the engine but most do not understand the importance of pump location, hose diameter, filter size and micron count and how all these work together to limit or unlock an engine's full potential. When designed properly, builders can actually gain additional horsepower from the engine; when designed poorly racers will often experience lag, starvation, or even damage to the engine itself.

Fuel FiltersWhat defines an efficient filter? One that has as little pressure drop as possible. How do you achieve a low pressure drop? Surface area. How do you get a lot of area into a compact inline filter? Pleats. More pleats mean more surface area, allowing filters to be compact while still allowing sizable fuel flow.

RegulatorsRegulators are a simple, yet integral part of any fuel system, allowing the buildup of pressure to a specified amount before diverting fuel back to the tank. They are found both on carbureted and EFI fuel systems, due in large part to the widespread availability of electronic fuel pumps.
