Custom Cans

Have a custom design?  Since our doors first opened, Harmon Racing Cells has been designing and building custom fuel cells for a wide range of applications. Unlike other manufacturers, custom designs are our specialty; in fact, over 90% of all fuel cells we produce are custom designs, so you know you're in good hands.  FIA approved for racing around the world.

Each part of our custom fuel cell is hand made to your specifications using either a drawing, mock-up, existing can, or CAD/CAM.  Once the design is received the quote process begins.  One of our fuel cell experts studies the design for any potential problems that may hinder performance.  After a thorough examination of the design and application, our expert recommends any design changes, a hardware setup, and a written quote is sent out within 48 hours.

Complete Customization

Since most parts are made in-house, nearly every component of your fuel cell can be made to your specifications.  Fill necks, pickups, check valves, everything that makes the fuel cell perform safely and properly can be customized for your specific vehicle or application.  In addition, we offer our customers the ability to completely customize the look and finish of their fuel cell.  We can powder coat, paint, or polish nearly any component to give your vehicle an added appeal.

Production Designs

In the past, fabricators had two options when it came to fitting their vehicles with a fuel cell: either make the chassis fit around a "standard" design or pay the extra price for a "custom" fuel cell. To address this issue we offer our customers the ability to get "custom" fuel cells at "standard" prices.  How does it work?  Lets say you're a fabricator designing a new vehicle and need a custom fuel cell made.  You then submit the drawing to us along with your intention of making this a standard design.  Once 5 orders for that specific design have been made and delivered we then re-evaluate the original quote as if it were a "standard" design and designate it as such, thus reducing the price and saving you money.

Vintage Restorations/Conversions

As vintage racing becomes more and more popular many racers are wanting to protect their vehicles, in addition to themselves.  However, since most racing vehicles built prior to the 1960s are not equipped with a fuel cell it can be a challenge trying to incorporate a modern fuel system into a vintage vehicle.  Fortunately, we've got you covered.  Whether replacing an old worn out bladder in an early baja bug or converting an 80 year old Maserati to an EFI safety bladder system we've got the parts and expertise to help you bring your fuel system up to spec while still maintaining the historical integrity of the vehicle.

Custom Fill Plates

Can't make a standard plate work?  We have a variety of "blank" plates available for immediate fabrication.  Custom fill sizes and angels, vent sizes, pickup locations, and plate designs are all made to your specifications.

Collector/Surge Box/Baffles

Routing the pickup and return lines into the collector increases fuel delivery consistency, specifically during periods of cornering or low fuel level.  Particularly effective on EFI applications.

Custom Pump Assemblies

Custom plates and mounts can be fabricated to utilize nearly all aftermarket and OEM fuel pump assemblies.  Assemblies and patterns for Polaris RZR XP series and Ford truck pumps kept in stock and on file.

    Custom Quote

Please indicate the estimated size of the bladder you're looking to have made. Please indicate gallons or liters.
Please indicate the diameter of the fill neck you wish to use to fill the fuel cell.
Please indicate the size of the vent/check valve you wish to use to allow air in/out of the fuel cell.
Please indicate the size of the fuel pickup fittings or if you wish to have internal fuel pumps installed.
Please indicate what size (if needed) fuel return line the fuel cell will use.
Please indicate the estimated horsepower of the vehicle.
Please indicate which, if any, performance upgrades you'd like on your fuel cell.
Tell us about the fuel cell you need, along with any comments you may have about the hardware that will be installed on the bladder. Be as specific as possible to ensure an accurate estimate on the quote.
