Nutring
Nutrings are one of the most important safety features on any fuel cell. Glued to the fuel cell bladder they are an anchor on which fill and pickup plates can be bolted to. Traditionally, nutrings were made of "cast" aluminum with optional steel or stainless steel inserts placed inside for added strength. Today, Harmon Racing Cells is innovating the racing industry by introducing the aluminum "plate" nutring. Although much simpler in concept and design, these nutrings are stronger and last longer than anything else on the market, period!
How are these innovative? We believe that simpler is better, especially when it comes to fuel systems. By making our nutrings out of "plate" instead of "cast" aluminum we eliminated the leading cause of nutring replacement - cracking. Their flexibility allows them to absorb and distribute stress caused by racing while also molding to the shape of the plate, providing a tighter union of nutring to plate and reducing incidences of plate leakage. In addition, every nutring is equipped with replaceable stainless steel inserts. If a bolt breaks off in the nutring or an insert gets stripped simply press out the bad one and press a new one in. This versatility extends the life of the nutring indefinitely, thus saving you a few extra bucks.
